Management Plan for the Historic City of Santiago de Compostela. AtlaS.WH Methodology
The Consortium of Santiago de Compostela has drafted the Management Plan for the historic city of Santiago de Compostela, following the AtlaS.WH methodology, approved by the partners of this project subsidized with Interreg-Atlantic Area funds, and included in the document "METHODOLOGY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MANAGEMENT PLANS FOR URBAN WORLD HERITAGE SITES".
 
They have been applied to the main strategic lines:
  • Cultural heritage;
  • Planning and urban planning tools;
  • Population, housing, public space, territory and environment;
  • Economy, tourism, culture and innovation.
 
In the preparation of the document, the AtlaS.WH methodology has been applied to the fundamental aspects related to:
  • Citizen participation
  • Principles to be applied
  • Creation of a network of actors and institutions involved.
  • Means and resources for discussion and sharing
 
In the drafting of the Plan, all available means have been used, both from the Consortium of Santiago, the AtlaS.WH network and the City Council of Santiago.
