Heritage walks
In 2020 our city celebrates the 35th anniversary of its World Heritage declaration. At the same time, Santiago participates in the AtlaS.WH project (Sustainability of the Urban World Heritage Sites intends to create a network of urban World Heritage Sites (WHS) by addressing common challenges).
For this reason, we invited all interested groups, general public, neighbors and associations to participate in these guided heritage walks, in which the main architectural and cultural elements of the historical area of the city were visited. All these places made possible for UNESCO to place us in the highest position in relation to the protection of the world heritage.
The meeting point of these walks was the Cruceiro de S. Pedro. The walks took place on 21, 24, 28 of October and 7 of November 2020.
